Kelly Walkotten

My passion for photography began underwater. As an avid scuba diver, I began underwater photography to document and share the beautiful world that makes up ¾ of the earth’s surface. To improve my underwater photography skills, I began nature photography in earnest. In 2003, I spent time with Cathy Church and her school in Grand Cayman and I credit her with helping me to beautifully capture the world underwater. I now use digital photography for above and below. This website is the result of many requests and I am now anxious to share my work with friends and travel companions.

My spare time revolves around my passion for photography and scuba diving, and it this combination that has created many vacation memories and much enjoyment. I am a scuba instructor, and with my family, who are all certified divers, have traveled and dove extensively. Wayne, my husband and dive buddy, count as our favorite destinations Fiji, the Ecuador rainforest, the Galapagos Islands, Papua New Guinea. We have dove much of the Caribbean, where our travels have included multiple visits to Ambergris Caye and Roatan.

As a result of the frustration learning on my own through persistence, and many references, I have recently developed a curriculum to help digital photographers use Adobe Photoshop to bring their photos to life.

As you will see on my website, I shoot family and senior pictures, along with sports photography. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested.
