I started photographing people during some photo club shoots, learning about lighting and helping the model to relax.   Over time, I have become very comfortable shooting senior portraits, starting with my own children, then their friends, and now making myself available to the public.  I have expanded this interest to families and groups, with one of the most important characteristics of my work is helping the subjects to have fun and be themselves.

As you will see in my portrait photos, many have involved a candid of people I have met during my travels.  I have found that a camera can be a great ice breaker, and if the photographer is polite, you will have the opportunity to get to interact with local people as you travel, and the local people will become comfortable with you, the stranger in their land.
