June 23-26, 2020 Triple D Photography Trip with Kelly

Wildlife Babies
June 23-26, 2020- 4 Day Wildlife Photography Event
Featuring 8 of Triple “D” s North American Wildlife Species In Northwest Montana’s Spring Colors with Photo Instructor and Photographer Kelly Walkotten.
Join wildlife photographer Kelly Walkotten at Triple “D” for an extended weekend of spectacular Wildlife Babies photography. A minimum of eight species to include Triple D’s baby animals, specially chosen for you, will be presented in natural settings that include habitats such a stream, pond, willow, cottonwood, aspen and birch groves, spruce-fir forests, rocky ridges, and more. We will photograph mornings and late afternoons to maximize the best lighting.
Also included are 3 classroom sessions with constructive critique of your images, as well as help in both Photoshop and Lightroom. Learn wildlife photography tips, digital workflow and processing, from wildlife photographer Kelly Walkotten. This is a small group setting with a limit of 12 photographers to insure there is no crowding, and each person can receive individualized instruction. There will be room to move around and a tripod can be used, but I find it easier to navigate without one. A long lens is not necessary, I use an 80mm-400mm, but a 70mm-200mm is plenty big enough.
We will plan on the first 3 days of the event to photograph 8 species of wildlife babies. The 4th day is to allow for make-up sessions in the event of inclement weather. If the “open” date is not utilized for make-up sessions, it will be opened up to allow photographers the freedom to photograph any other species listed for $175.00 per photographer, per species (Large Primary Species require a minimum of 4 participants). This is a discounted price special, of 50% off, compared to the normal daily rate.
We will start on June 23, 2020 with an organizational meeting at 6:00am, then head out to our first location to photograph. On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons, we will meet for critique and Photoshop and Lightroom workflow instruction. Kelly will also be giving hands on instruction throughout your photo sessions, so you get the best possible photographs of the beautiful animals. Field instruction will include, shutter speed, white balance, and fast action shooting, so you come home with the photographs that you dreamed of!
A tentative list of babies can include: Wolf pups, Grey Fox kits, Siberian Lynx kitten, Raccoon pups, Coyote pups, Canadian lynx kitten, Porcupine baby, Red Fox kits, Bobcat kitten, Badger pup, Cross Fox kits, and Fisher pup. Species not included in the cost of the 8 photo sessions will be offered to participants at an additional rate of $175.00session. Optional Animal Species Include:
Grizzly Bear Bobcat
Fisher Mountain Lion
Wolf Pack Black Bear
Coyote Silver Fox
Porcupine Grey Fox
Raccoon Cross Fox
